Building relationships with schools in the local area is an important issue for CIFA. It means understanding needs and opportunities to create new prospects for community growth. With this principle in mind, we launched a collaborative initiative with the Levi Institute of Bollate (MI), in synergy with Consorzio SiR – Solidarietà in Rete, a consortium of social cooperatives established in 2000 to promote social cooperation and foster the social and cultural development of citizens.
As part of this initiative, on February 19th, we organized an event together with Consorzio SiR for final-year high school students specializing in "Administration, Finance, and Marketing" program. During the event, we shared with them CIFA’s journey toward sustainability, starting from our first Energya electric concrete truck mixer to the publication of our first sustainability report. The students were then challenged to develop practical proposals, particularly on the topic of greenwashing, working in groups. They will present their projects during a second meeting, where they will be our guests at CIFA to visit our Academy area, Factory, and Museum.
This initiative is a concrete example of how school-business synergy can create valuable growth opportunities for young people and the local area, fostering a culture of sustainability that can positively influence the workforce of the future.
A special thanks goes to the CIF@School working group, part of the sustainability pillar "Ecosystem Approach", which aims to enhance CIFA’s impact on society and the local community.
